The Ballina airport services the Byron Bay and Lismore areas. The airport has links to Melbourne and Sydney with Jetstar, Regional Express and Virgin Blue each operating services. Ballina Airport is located in Southern Cross Drive and is 5 km from the heart of Ballina. The airport is a 20 minute drive to Byron and 30 mins to Lismore. The Ballina airport has been renamed the Ballina Byron Gateway airport.
